Nicolai Chen Nielsen is an associate partner at McKinsey & Company, where he advises clients on leadership development, culture change, and agile transformations. Nicolai leads McKinsey’s latest research on developing leadership across organizations and is the co-author of the book Leadership at Scale: Better Leadership, Better Results. He has published several articles on leadership, including What’s Missing in Leadership Development and Cultivating Compassionate Leadership in a Crisis.
He is an Advisory Board Member for the Supertrends Institute, where he focuses on the intersection of cutting-edge technology, global trends, and the implications they have on organizations and leaders. He is also an Alumni of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Community, a group that focuses on collaborating to address local, regional, and global issues.
Nicolai is passionate about personal development and the lifelong journey towards enlightenment. He is fascinated by the universal truths found in ancient wisdom traditions, and seeks to understand them in order to live a more loving and peaceful life. He is currently based in New York with his wife Samira and their two dogs Napoleon and Caesar.
